Results of the Jobs
for Life Program
The remarkable Jobs for Life program is quickly gathering
strength all across the country as every day it lifts more
and more people out of joblessness, hopelessness and poverty.
The Jobs for Life way requires each participant to complete
and graduate from a fully-rounded program that builds a full
life under them. A life that gives them the tools and support
that makes their work secure and promising. There’s
wide diversity among our thousands of graduates, with about
half men and half women with most of them single. And besides,
many of these are considered “hardest to serve”,
on public assistance, or ex-offenders; many are homeless or
in transitional housing, most don’t have reliable transportation
and many have a history of substance abuse.
As these people graduate most of them become unusually stable
and productive members of their neighborhoods, building strong
marriages and families, gradually taking on leadership roles
in church, family and community. Businesses are benefited
with a source of stable, dependable employees. Churches connect
even more closely with all the people they serve.
And communities come together as they join hands and hearts
to help those who otherwise would have little chance, or hope,
or future.
