| Why do we
need to track JfL students? |
There are several reasons why tracking
the students who participate in JfL classes is critical.
They include the following:
- To be able to provide students the appropriate
support they need to help them achieve success
- To determine the elements of the program
that are working and those that need to be improved
- To demonstrate what makes JfL unique from
other job training programs
- To see if JfL is making a positive difference
in the lives of the students
- To capture information that is useful
for recruiting new students, new businesses, new sites,
and additional volunteers

| How long will
we need to track graduates of the class? |
Officially, 12 months. Each site is
required to send JfL headquarters a report 6 months and
12 months after the completion of each training class. While
this is what is required, it is hoped that sites will continue
to track their graduates beyond this timeframe, and capture
powerful information concerning the long term impact JfL
classes and support have had on graduates.
